As you may know from
previous posts, Jason and I are not currently living in the same city, nor even the same state. Our lives are in major transition and we really thought that we would be living together again by now. However, as of the weekend, Jason was no closer to having a store and I had resigned myself to the goal of being together by Christmas. I figured that, this way, if we got to be together sooner, I'd be overjoyed, and if it actually took until Christmas, I wouldn't be terribly disappointed. To this end, on Monday night I bought a ticket to go see Jason for 10 days at Thanksgiving. On Tuesday morning, I paid for a month of Stroller Strides classes. Wouldn't you know it, Jason called me Tuesday afternoon with the long anticipated news that he had finally been given a store! I guess Murphy's law is in full effect in the Wells family.
Anyway, we will now be making this place our new home:
Yep, we are moving to the land of the sun - good old Phoenix, AZ. I now have the welcome tasks of A) figuring out how to get our van, dog and baby down to AZ without running into (literal) mountains of snow; and B)finding an apartment that meets our needs and fits into our rather minute budget in as little time as possible so that we don't overrun my brother-in-law's house for any more time than is absolutely necessary.
Despite the immediate challenges, I am extremely excited to be laying down roots somewhere and to be out of parents' basements for the first time in 18 months! Oh yeah, and it will be nice to be with my husband again.
Congratulations! I guess we better make our date sooner, rather than later!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I wish you luck in liking Phoenix but honestly, if you're with your husband again it doesn't really matter where exactly you are :).
ReplyDeleteYeah for reuniting and for knowing where you'll be!!
ReplyDeleteYay! And you'll at least be a little closer to me! :)
ReplyDeleteWe cannot wait to have you in the neighborhood! Love you guys.
